Opposition MDC claims Zimbabwe election win
Zimbabwe's main opposition party claims it has won the country's presidential election by a landslide. Votes are still being counted, but the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC), defied a Government ban and revealed the count from polling stations that showed Morgan Tsvangirai beating Robert Mugabe. Tendai Biti, the party's secretary-general, said: "We've won this election... we are massacring them. There is no way Mugabe can claim victory unless it is through fraud."
